There are those who hunt down old or rare coins and sell them for their rarity value, but there are some coins that are made of precious metals. Did you know…quarters and dimes that were minted 1964 or before are actually made of SILVER?! For the weight of one quarter you can easily get a few dollars for the silver content. If you have a whole roll of coins, you may not want to check every single coin for the date. A fast way to identify possible solid silver coins is to stack your coins and look at the sides. The more recent coins are mostly made of copper and nickel, so you can see a brown band on the side. The older ones that are solid silver, though, will not have that brown band. If you do find any that don’t have that brown band, pull them out and confirm with the mint year and you most likely will have a silver quarter in your possession!! After nearly three years of doing business with our unmistakable teal and gold logo, the Goldrush brand is receiving a long-awaited makeover. The name ‘Goldrush’ is unmistakable in its meaning. Our new logo’s focal point is a ‘G’ that was designed to emphasize both the Goldrush name and the increasingly important gold recycling aspect of our business. There is also a subtle smile incorporated into our G that is a reflection of the warm, friendly service Goldrush Stores are known for and strive to provide. Additionally, the purple and golden-yellow color scheme better aligns us with our global partner, Gold Buyers (www.goldbuyers.com).

As we’ve always done, we will continue to recycle America’s Gold, Silver, and Platinum into Instant Cash.
